Identity in Discussions
📱 App User
Voter·4a2f
Wallet-derived pseudonym. Consistent. Cryptographically grounded.
🎮 Discord User
CryptoTom99
Self-chosen Discord name. Not wallet-verified. Discord badge shown.
🔐
Onboard
Connect your Cardano wallet and verify with biometrics. The app automatically derives your pseudonym (e.g. Voter·4a2f) from your wallet address. No username, no email, no signup form needed.
📋
Browse Proposals
See all active proposals in your feed. Each shows the title, creator, deadline, live vote counts, and how many people are discussing it.
💬
Join a Discussion
Tap into a proposal's Discussion tab. You see comments from app users (by pseudonym) and Discord users (with a badge). You can reply to either.
🗳️
Cast Your Vote
Vote privately and securely. Your vote is cryptographically separated from your pseudonym — no one can link Voter·4a2f to any specific vote choice.
📊
See and Share Results
When voting closes, results appear publicly. Share that you participated — without revealing how you voted — building social proof and encouraging others.
🏠
Join the Server
A community member or proposal creator invites you to the VoteBoxApp Discord server. No app required — just Discord, which many communities already use daily.
🔔
Get Notified
The VoteBoxApp Bot automatically posts when a new proposal goes live — title, description, and a link. A dedicated discussion thread is created automatically for that proposal.
💬
Comment in Thread
Reply in the Discord thread using your Discord name. The Bot relays your comment into the VoteBoxApp app's discussion tab, where it appears with a Discord badge.
👀
Watch the Results
When voting closes, the Bot announces the result in Discord. You can see the democratic outcome without ever touching the app.
📲
Optional: Download and Vote
Want to actually vote, not just discuss? Download VoteBoxApp and connect a wallet. Discord is the gateway; the app is where democracy happens.
💡
Create Your Proposal
Fill out your proposal in the app — title, description, options, deadline. You pay the blockchain fee including the Foundation Fee. Voters always participate free.
🌐
Auto-Published Everywhere
The moment your proposal goes live on-chain, the Bot simultaneously posts it to Discord. It instantly reaches both app users and the entire Discord community.
📣
Share the Link
You receive a shareable link. Post it on Twitter, Telegram, WhatsApp — anywhere. Every shared proposal is a VoteBoxApp advertisement.
📈
Watch Engagement
See real-time voting numbers and discussion activity from both app users and Discord users in one unified view inside the app.
Results Published On-Chain
Results are published on-chain — permanent and tamper-proof — and announced in Discord. The community has a verifiable record of the democratic decision.
🤖
What is the VoteBoxApp Bot?
A small software program running on a server — not your phone — connected to both systems simultaneously. Think of it as a bilingual translator: it speaks VoteBoxApp and Discord fluently, relaying messages between the two worlds automatically, 24/7, no human needed.
🌉
Why Discord specifically?
Discord is where an enormous number of crypto, DAO, activist, and community groups already communicate daily — roughly 200 million registered users. By bridging to Discord, VoteBoxApp proposals reach those communities without requiring everyone to download a new app first.
⚖️
Who can actually vote?
Only verified VoteBoxApp app users with connected wallets. Discord participation is discussion-only. This preserves the integrity of the democratic process while still allowing broad community engagement and awareness.
🏛️
The Town Hall Metaphor
The VoteBoxApp is the town hall — where verified citizens debate and cast votes. Discord is the public square outside — where the broader community hears what is being debated. They can be heard inside, but they cannot pull a voting lever. The Bot shuttles messages between the two rooms.
🔮
Phase 1 vs Phase 2
Your current working APK is Phase 1 — in-app discussions only, no Discord yet. Discord integration is Phase 2: a planned enhancement the architecture is already designed for. Phase 1 is a working democracy. Phase 2 adds the public square.
